Introduction:
Eighth grade science builds on the concepts and skills acquired in kindergarten through seventh grade. Connecting mathematics, social science, technology and communication skills is the instructional design. Middle school learners need to see a direct relationship between science education and daily life. Investigations designed to help students learn about themselves and their world that will motivate them.
MYP sciences aspires to develop scientifically informed, caring and responsible individuals who can think critically and make informed choices about themselves, the environment and society. Students develop these skills through the study of both language and literature. The choice of texts also provides opportunities for and influences students in further developing the attributes of the IB learner profile.

Methodology (Grading)
Throughout the academic school year, a variety of instructional methodologies will be used to meet the learning styles of all students. Additionally depending on the assignment, there may be opportunities for students to utilize the learning style that best suits their needs. The assignments may include, but will not be limited to the following:
