Meet the Social Worker

Greetings Kernodle Cougars!

My name is Mrs. Pettis and I am your school social worker!!

I am a native of Greensboro, North Carolina and a product of the Guilford County School System. I am married and I have a beautifully blended family with 3 teenagers. I love being a wife and a mommy. I love to spend time with my family and friends. I also love helping others and that love has driven me to the field of social work.

 I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work from the illustrious North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University.  I am a  licensed school social worker.

 I have a genuine passion for serving children and families and have been doing so since 2017. Being a social worker is driven by one of my passions, which is empowering others through a life of service.  This passion was ignited through the hardships I experienced as a child. Working in this field has kept the initial flame burning and it inspires me to continue serving children and families.
