Career and College Promise and Virtual Course Options

Career and College Promise offers North Carolina high school students the chance to earn college credits at a community college campus. The program is tuition-free for high school juniors and seniors (semester fees and book purchases will apply). You must have a cumulative unweighted GPA of 2.8 or higher or passing test scores. Please see your counselor to apply!

1. Complete an application through www.CFNC.org Links to an external site. (Apply To College tab > Application Hub > Start an Application (on right) > type in Guilford Tech, then choose the CCP application).

2. Submit your transcript through CFNC (in the application hub)

3. Complete a verification form Links to an external site.  which will have further instructions. There will be 4 forms you and your parent must review and initial. This form will also need to be signed by your school counselor (please allow us to complete the unweighted GPA section as well).

4. Once the Verification Form is submitted to ccpadmissions@gtcc.edu, you will receive information on how to create a Titan Account on gtcc.edu and how to register for classes.  Some classes are available online.  Weaver courses will be prioritized over GTCC classes, so please be mindful of the times you choose if classes are in person.

5. ALL college transfer classes are 8 weeks starting Fall of 2025.  You MUST select a course for EACH 8 weeks, 2 courses per semester minimum.

 

Virtual Courses

Please see your counselor to register for virtual courses. Online courses will only be offered for the following reasons:

  • There is a conflict in a student's schedule with PVA courses
  • Student wishes to take a class during the summer
  • Student wishes to take the course after school as a 5th course (must get administrative approval)
