1st, Identify the feeling. Identify what your body feels like in the moment. You're likely smiling or laughing. Happiness is only best when it's appropriate for you to be happy. For example, in the movie "Inside Out" the character Joy was known for being optimistic and being happy. She didn't always feel this way and knew when to tend to her other emotions when they needed her most.

Your coping tools or skills are unique to YOU. The more you practice the better you can get with managing your emotions. Keep in mind, we all feel every emotion at some point in our lives; you are not alone. It is normal to even feel multiple emotions at once.
