Drafting a Report and Writing a Paragraph
Topic: U.S. flag and our national anthem
In your last few lessons, you took notes by answering questions about the story, Our National Anthem. These questions helped you to plan for writing a report about the U.S. flag and our national anthem. Those pages have been included to remind you of your work.
Today we will practice the draft part of writing a report.
The steps for writing a report include:
1. Plan
2. Draft
3. Edit
Now that you finished all of your research, it is important to go back and look at all
of your notes and organize them into groups that relate to different aspects or
parts of the report topic.
You are fortunate because, thanks to the way the note-taking worksheets were set
up, the notes have already been organized in two different groups that they will
now use to draft two parts/two paragraphs for your report.

Directions:

LISTEN TO "OUR NATIONAL ANTHEM"
1.  Answer questions 1-4 to help you plan your report.

2.  Use your answers to help you write your Draft. 

PLEASE PROOFREAD YOUR WORK BEFORE SUBMITTING.  Please make sure your sentences begin with a capital letter and end with a punctuation mark.
